After looking at the numbers for Wednesday night, ABC on Thursday picked up its new comedy series “Suburgatory” for the rest of this TV season, as well as its new drama series “Revenge.”
“Suburgatory” — about a teenager dragged from New York to the suburbs by her well-meaning single dad — has attracted more 18-to 49-year-old viewers than its “The Middle” lead-in show in each of its three broadcasts.
At 10 p.m., “Revenge” — about a young woman making life a serious pain for those nice folks in the Hamptons — has greatly improved the network’s fortunes compared with same time last fall, with the network aired the quickly canceled “The Whole Truth.”
